ASTM A276 Uns S31803 Duplex Round Bar, furnished under condition A, will undergo annealing. The A276 S31803 Hex Bar is first hardened, then tempered at a relative temperature. The ASTM A276 specifies that bars produced under Condition T must be hardened and tempered at a significantly higher temperature. Cold work is required for both conditions S & B. 

As a result of Condition S, ASTM A276 F51 Bar could either be strain hardened or relatively light cold worked. As opposed to Condition B, where ASTM A276 Uns S31803 Bar is cold worked at severe temperatures. Both ASTM A276 and ASTM A479 specifications require tests to determine properties like tensile and yield strength, elongation, and hardness of the A479 Grade S31803 Rod.

The UNS S31803 round bar, which is equivalent to Werstoff No 1.4462, is made from duplex stainless steel, which is composed of austenite and ferrite in equal proportions. The melting point ranges between 1420 – 1465 degrees Celsius and it has a moderate density of 7.805 g/cm3. As their tensile strength is 621 MPa and density is 7.82 g/cm3, Duplex Steel UNS S31803 Bars are known for their strength and toughness. Shapes of the bars are changed based on industry requirements, such as ASTM A479 UNS S31803 hex bars.

They are hexagonal in shape and are heated uniformly between 1750 and 2250 Fahrenheit. F51 round bars are made of duplex stainless steel and have an ISO tolerance between h8 and h11. It cannot be hardened by heat, but it can be strengthened by cold working. 

This ASTM A276 F51 Duplex Round Bar is made of 21% chrome and 4.5% nickel and is an ISO 9001:2008 certified product with a tensile strength of 105 N/mm2 and a hardness of 170-255 Brinell. Typical UNS s31803 f51 rods provide high performance under high temperatures of 300-degree Celsius, and can work between 1020-1100 Celsius. It is designed to take the stress of up to 23.1 ksi at 600 Fahrenheit.

Steel grade S31803 bars have high iron content between 63-70% and the rest is Chromium, Nickel, and Molybdenum. Due to this, it has high resistance to corrosion and against chloride-rich solutions, thus they are used in chemical industries, water desalination plants.
