Cold Rolled Stainless Steel Round Bar
Cold-rolled steel is generally hot-rolled steel that has been processed further. Many steel-forming processes are associated with rolling, including polishing, grinding, and turning. When stainless steel bar stock is compressed, it is referred to as “cold rolled”.
Steel that has been cold-rolled requires an extra step after being heated to an extreme temperature and cooled. After cooling and re-rolling at ambient temperature, steel is re-rolled in cold reduction mills by either braking or rolling. By using this procedure, steel round rods, stainless steel bar stock, or brass round stock can be formed into the required shape, ss size chart, round size, bar diameter, rod size for die chart and steel rod size chart.
The Hot Rolled Stainless Steel Round Bar has a higher absolute roughness than the Drawn Stainless Steel Round Bar. If the bars are used only for their strength and corrosion resistance, this is not an issue. Cold Drawn Stainless Steel Round Bars are preferred in aesthetic applications and outdoor fixtures because they have a smooth surface and less absolute roughness. The bars can also vary in 12mm ss rod sizes.
