The EN24 steel alloy is a very high strength steel alloy that is hardened and tempered. A nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy, EN24 steel, also known as 817M40, offers high tensile strength, good ductility, and wear resistance.

An actual high strength steel alloy, EN24 round bar is tough and hardened before fabrication and contains nickel, chromium, and molybdenum, making it a high strength steel alloy with good ductility and wear resistance. Further refinements in the process, such as basic oxygen steelmaking (BOS), further lowered production costs and improved metal quality. Today, steel is one of the most common materials in the world, with more than 1.3 billion tons produced each year.
