DETAILED INFORMATION
Triroundbars.com is one of India’s leading manufacturers of high quality Black Bars which find application across diverse sectors. Smooth manufacturing processes, a rationally equipped plant, superior stainless steel raw materials, and a panel of experts contribute to the high quality of our Stainless Steel Black Bars. The excellent quality, sturdiness, corrosion resistance, and elevated strength of our products have increased our reputation as a top-notch black bar exporter.
These Black Bars can be manufactured in a variety of metals such as Stainless Steel, Ferritic Metals, Austenitic Metals, Duplex & Super Duplex Steel, and Super alloys like Hastelloy, Titanium, Monel, Inconel, Alloy 20. We provide Black Bars in made-to-order lengths, sizes and shapes, and at competitive prices. We can also fabricate and machine these round bars to meet the piping needs of our clients.
Raw tools are formed by steel alloys and are used to design a variety of machining components for almost all industries. Bars, wires, and rods are the three primary raw materials used for making parts such as valves, Fasteners, mechanical tools, studs, bolts, pins, hinges, handles, Surgical and medical equipment, etc.
Due to their high strength and formability, stainless steel bars are widely used in industries. Steel bars are primarily manufactured and used in two forms, i.e. stainless steel bright bars and stainless steel black bars.
There are a lot of questions about the differences between the two. To answer those questions, we can say that there are some fundamental differences in the way these metals are processed at the mill. If we talk about product specifications or grades, there isn’t much difference. With varying strengths, formability, and other characteristics, they can be formed to serve specific purposes. Let’s explore the key differences between bright bars and black bars so you can determine which is the best for your business.
Steel black bars are formed by rolling, in which raw materials such as billets, blooms, etc. are heated to 1200 C (approx. 2100 F), which exceeds steel’s recrystallization temperature. Steel can be formed into any shape and can be made in much larger sizes at this temperature range.
The process of forming black bars does not require reheating for accuracy, so they are formed without any delays. Due to the fact that the bar shrinks slightly after cooling, this procedure doesn’t allow precise control of the bar’s size and shape. This is also why black bars are cheaper than bright bars. Black steel is used in situations where precise shapes and tolerances are not necessary, such as in the welding and construction trades to manufacture railroad tracks and I-beams.
Bright bars are advanced versions of black bars. Bright bars are formed by drawing in cold-reduction mills, where they are cooled at room temperature and further processed by annealing, turning, grinding, polishing, and temper rolling.
With this method, the bar’s shape and size can be precisely controlled without compromising its properties. Thus, it allows closer dimensional tolerances and a variety of surface finishes to be achieved with the final steel product. Cold-drawn bright bars have a superior surface finish along with an increased degree of concentricity, straightness, and susceptibility.
Although bright bars are more difficult to work with and cost more than black bars, they are the best choice for projects where tolerances, surface condition, concentricity, and straightness are top priorities.
Triroundbars.com is here to help you find the best stainless steel bar manufacturers and suppliers who can provide high-quality bright bars in India and abroad, no matter what industry you are in. Triroundbars.com exports stainless steel products to several countries in Europe, North America, and Asia. To learn more about our products, visit our website.

There are five main types of different processes to achieve the desired sizes.
-
Drawing
Black steel bars are drawn through dies of the required shape. The raw material choice depends on the shape to be drawn. This increases tensile and yield strength. The rolling process also eliminates a number of surface imperfections.
-
Peeling
The black bars are adjusted to the desired size. This eliminates any surface imperfections. However, any internal imperfections are visible. It does not increase the tensile strength of the bars.
-
Grinding
Grinding is used to reduce tolerances and improve the surface finish of the above two processes
-
Polishing
Polishing improves the surface finish of the bars
-
Cold Rolling
Cold rolling is typically used to create complex shapes.
What is a Stainless Steel Black Bar ?
Steel mills and aluminium plants produce most of their metal by rolling or extruding it into long continuous strips. Strips are cut at regular intervals and cooled, each segment becoming a piece of bar stock. In the making of pasta, dough is extruded into various cross-sectional shapes, cut into lengths, and then dried. Pasta cross-sections can range from simple bar or tube shapes (such as linguine or penne) to elaborate extrusions (such as rotelle, fiori, or rotini). This is also true for metal bar stock.
Round bars (also called rods), rectangular bars (including square bars, which have equal sides), and hexagonal bars are the most common. traditionally not called “bar” in industrial usage. (However, a product called hollow bar, essentially tube but with custom-orderable OD and ID and thus custom wall thickness, is marketed for lathe bar work which can benefit from obviation of drilling and Round bars (also called rods), rectangular bars (including square bars, which have equal sides), and hexagonal bars are the most common.ium; the names “angle iron” and “channel iron” are still commonly used (informally) even though their literal namesake, wrought iron, has been replaced by steel and aluminium for most uses.
