The metal resists corrosion in normal domestic and very mild industrial environments, with maximum corrosion resistance at temperatures below about 400°C. Scale, lubricants, foreign particles, and coatings applied for drawing and heading must be removed from surfaces in order to achieve best corrosion resistance.
